A Brown HousePARTY

A Creative & Craft-filled Weekend of Unexpected Graces
Discover them, Celebrate them, Create them

At Engage Creative Retreat

in Dripping Springs, Texas

Hosted by Amy Brown of A Brown House

Discover

From the moment you walk in the door you will be greeted with surprises and special touches to lift you up and make you smile.

Celebrate

During your weekend you will have a chance to revel in the fun of creating and the joy of fellowship with other ladies.

Create

There will be plenty of arts and crafts projects to make for yourself and for others. You will leave with a bagful of little happies to give throughout the year.

This weekend was designed for you if:

  • All crafts have been carefully selected to achieve unique results by any level of experience. You will learn that the beauty is in the doing. The fun is in the mess. This is a safe place to explore your creativity. Your crafts and art projects will not look like anyone else's because you are unique.

  • You will find a variety of crafts and projects that will fulfill your need to create. There will be new crafters here and you will be a valuable part of their weekend, by encouraging and supporting their attempts.

  • You will find them here. These women have a desire for community, a curiosity about being creative, and a heart for others.

  • Although we will have a schedule for the weekend that includes crafts, art projects, inspirational sessions, and more crafts, feel free to participate in all of it or just some of it. This is your weekend. If you feel like sleeping late - sleep late. If you feel like taking a nap - take a nap. If you feel like going for a walk - go for a walk (there are walking trails just outside the property). Most of the buzz will be happening in the craft room and living areas. The bedrooms are on the other end of the house, so you can sneak away to the haven of your amazingly comfortable bed and read or just be. No one is REQUIRED to do ANYTHING.

  • The house holds 14 people for the weekend. You will make lots of new friends. Great conversations will be had around the dining table, in the cozy living room and on the outside patio. All the rooms have more than one bed, so you will also get to know your roommates better, even though most of the action will be in the rest of the house.

  • This will be a time for you to be served so you can feel rejuvenated and return to your daily life refreshed and ready to serve others.

  • The time away from your everyday is so important. You will be celebrated, supported, cherished by women in your same season and by women who have been there before. Multiple generations have much to offer each other. Your children, spouse, co-workers will love it when you return to them renewed and inspired.

  • You still don't always take time for just yourself. The time spent in the company of other women who lift you up may be just what you need. The multiple generations gathered at A Brown HouseParty make this weekend unique. The interaction among women in different life phases is priceless.

  • You are in luck because you are not required to bring anything. You can stay in your pajamas all day, go without makeup, and not curl your hair. All meals and snacks are included. There are stores nearby if you find, after you get here, that you want to get your favorite bottle of wine or your own bag of Twizzlers. All art and craft supplies are provided. All instructions on how to do the crafts are provided. Bedding, pillows, and towels are provided.

  • The ideas and crafts offered will open your eyes to a new outlook with possibly finding a new passion you didn't know was possible.

  • We have a payment plan so you can spread out your payments.

Besides crafting and making art all weekend, you will:

Meet a group of supportive, unique women with a common desire to create and have fun.

Be served and pampered so that you can return to your life to be the best version of yourself.

Learn about yourself and maybe find a talent you didn't know you had.

Make several “Happies”, so you can be an Unexpected Grace to others throughout the year.

Try new things and learn that art is never perfect and it’s fun to make a mess with art supplies.

Be reminded that Unexpected Graces are all around us and you are loved by God.
